The Entrepreneur Magazine Top 500 Franchise Rankings have been announced for 2010 and Screenmobile has improved once again. Due to our rising number of new franchise licensees and the outstanding success of so many of our existing locations, our overall ranking in the Franchise 500 rose 99 places this year!

West Nile Reported in the Phoenix Valley

With the first case of West Nile Virus in the US this year reported in Phoenix today, the Center for Disease Control (CDC), advises mosquito-proofing homes as a crucial line of defense against the West Nile Virus by draining standing water, inspecting for insect breeding grounds, and repairing or installing screen doors and windows.
Screenmobile, a home delivery screen installation company with 10 locations in Arizona, is aiding homeowners in safeguarding their homes against West Nile infected mosquitoes. The company recommends that screens be replaced if they have tears or holes, or frames that are loose or bowed. Additionally, homeowners who live in areas where tinier insects are prevalent should look into a tighter weave. Homes with enclosed decks benefit from screens underneath to prevent insects from coming in through the floor.
Insect-control screens cost on average $20-$50 per window, depending on size, and come in a variety of fabrics, weaves and colors. In addition to protecting from mosquitoes, screens block the sun's heat and glare, offer excellent outward visibility and improve daytime privacy. They work with open or closed windows. It is recommended to replace screens every five years to seven years, (in some conditions, screens last much longer), to ensure effectiveness and safety.

The Entrepreneur Magazine Top 500 Franchise Rankings have been announced for 2008 and Screenmobile has improved once again. Due to our rising number of new franchise licensees and the outstanding success of so many of our existing locations, our overall ranking in the Franchise 500 rose 15 places this year!
Screenmobile climbed the Top 500 for the third straight year, moving from #237 in 2007 up to #222 in 2008. We also climbed up the rankings in the Home Based Franchises category, up from #65 in 2007 to #55 in 2008. Read about our rankings in all categories over the past 5 years here.
Screenmobile Featured in the Wall Street Jounal

The Wall Street Journal reports on the national trend of independent businesses “adding on” franchises to fill gaps during off-peak season and expand services and clientele base. One of the successful examples profiled is Screenmobile franchisee Jason Oldham who “added on” a Screenmobile franchise to his home remodeling business and now his revenue is up 50% from a year ago before he became a Screenmobile franchisee.

Screenmobile Makes The Front Page of the New York Times, Sunday Edition!

In a front page article about the national problem of errant golf balls crashing through windows, the reporter noted that two of the people profiled in the article “turned to Screenmobile, a company that specializes in heavy-duty screens for doors and windows. Screenmobile said it received more than 400 calls from homeowners last year. Ms. Smith said the screens helped considerably.”
