Southaven residents Phil and Joan Wren recently returned from Las Vegas after receiving an award from their franchise chain for being the top producer in the nation for 2007.
Having outperformed 92 other Screenmobile franchises, the husband-and-wife team were recognized by Screenmobile CEO Scott Walker with the Top Producer of the Year Award during the franchise system's annual convention.
The Wrens' Screenmobile provides service to homes and businesses in DeSoto County and Shelby and Fayette counties in Tennessee. Their business number is (662) 536-1100.
Screenmobile brings its showroom and its portable equipment self-contained in a specially designed trailer to the homeowner's doorstep and builds screens onsite to fit any window, door, porch, garage or pool using the nation's leading brands.
The Wrens became Screenmobile franchisees in 1996 when they decided they wanted to leave the corporate world and work for themselves. Phil Wren had been a CPA; Joan Wren had been in banking. Since opening their business, they have consistently been top performers for the chain and have plans to expand their business in March.
Screenmobile, a franchise headquartered in Thousand Palms, Calif., has 93 franchised units located across the nation. It began franchising in 1984.
